Hi all!
Another week and I have a blog post to share and a mini Behance post! Enjoy!

The blog post!
Todays post is about Canon's online "poster maker". I tried it out and have mixed feelings, reminds me a lot of Adobe's attempt at a web editor. I'll be sticking with Canva but this is another option:

Behance post!
I have a post on Behance with an edit that was supposed to be a timelapse but the recording decided not to save, 1gb lost 🥲. Here is the photo from the edit anyways on Behance!

Top 3 Headlines:

- Google Wallet is the new universal Wallet on Android (non-Samsung). The app looks awesome, Googles design teams never fail to impress. It already supports most major movie theaters in the US, most gift cards for amazon, starbucks, etc, event tickets, and Google Pixel users can add airline tickets which will become available to all Android users soon. It is great to see but it should have been revived a few years ago...

- Google is creating a new coding language called Carbon, the language aims to replace C++. This is a signficant advancement for devs with enhanced code checking to save time, API importers, and some more features that I don't understand. The significane of the language is that it will help developers create apps much faster and have less trouble when errors arrise. It is a project on GitHub with all code available there for devs.

- DaVinci Resolve 18 is arriving pretty soon and will be the first ever proffessional video editor with real time collaboration. Another significant addition is stabilization using gyro data from cameras, this is currently limited to select Blackmagic cameras but is something that required 3rd party software in the past, seeing this feature in video editors is great to see. It is truly a phenominal update and you can now download it from Blackmagic now! Note, according to comments on the internet, it isn't working to well on MacOS with Apples own M1 chips, probably only get it if you have an Intel Mac. I personally am sad to see that the Linux version still has no Intel support and requires an AMD processor. This is kind of sad to see, Blackmagic did say they will add Intel support eventually for Linux but it continues to not be an option. Let's hope for DaVinci 19!

That is all for this week! Thank you for reading!
