Hiya everyone! This week I have a post with a new camera as well the news! Enjoy!
The blog post! Here are the photos from my new OneRS! Hope you enjoy!
Top 3 Headlines:
- The latest Intel i3 12th gen chromebooks are perfroming phenominally giving me hope for when I eventually upgrade my laptop. These perform 45% faster than my i7 10510 U at the lowest speced model of the i3 12th gen (12100f) and 81% faster for the fastest model (12900k)! These are now the fastest performing ChromeOS devices on the market now that both HP and Acer have released devices using this power. This comes alongside the news of new Ryzen 6000 Chromebooks which are all powered from the release of Steam for ChromeOS a few months ago bringing a surge of higher power users and gamers onto the OS. - The somewhat dissapointing iPhone 14's came out running the exact same chip (on base 14 & 14+) as last years 13 Pro series (a15 bionic) and you can now only get the a16 chip on the 14 Pro and Pro Max. The 14 & 14+ have a very slightly camera upgrade but doesn't go beyond 12mp with the more expensive 14 Pro & Pro Max getting a 48mp sensor. The phone only introduces 1-2 features we haven't seen before, one of which is the satilite communication in emergencies which is free for 2 years and then becomes a payed subscription and the 14 Pro models get a new notch that is a holepunch plus an autofocus and face ID module which interacts with the OS in a pretty cool way. We did see one LG phone come with a less advanced form of that but this is the first time the concept has made an apperance again. Overall, the phones look decent but the price increases definetly don't seem remotely justifiable at this time. One last thing on the iPhone, we heard from Tim Cook in an interview about the RCS argument and the response he gave an audience member complaining about texting their mom who had an Android phone was: "Buy your mom an iPhone". Yep, despite the Google backed RCS campaigns prominantely featuring on the front page of Google and all over social media, Apple will continue ignoring the movement. - Finally, I'll combine these two news releases into one segment. To start, Hasselblad released a new 100mp camera that looks great! The second bit of news was from Insta360's camera release continuing their incredibly popular X series of cameras bringing the X3 to the market at $499.Well, that is all this week! Thanks for reading!
