It's officially the new year! Today I have my first post in the new year, some early 2023 news (and late 2022) as well as another plug for my portfolio 😉

This weeks photos are again from my Fuji xt20! This time all from my Canon 55-250mm STM II via the K&F lens adapter!

Top 3 Headlines:

- A strange and sudden growth in reports from Pixel 7 owners indicate that Googles camera glass isn't holding up. The reports are limited but resemble Samsungs S7 glass shattering reports. It seems like the camera module just suddenly cracks outwards and forms a hole around the camera without any apparent reason. Now, Corning (maker of the camera glass on the S7) had addressed the issue and resolved it but Google never revealed who makes the camera glass and if the company is not Corning, they may be suffering the same issue Corning has. 
 
- Amazon is about to lay off a staggering 18000 employees due to cut backs following Covid hiring. This is one of many tech compnaies that have recently had to scale back their workforce and it is an interesting trend to see in such a booming industry.

- For the final headline today, PicsArt released an IOS and Mac app that uses AI to convert bad drawings into masterpeice paintings and, based on what I've seen, it is pretty cool. It is the first attempt (to my knowledge) PicsArt has made an AI based image model.
