Top 3 Headlines:

- First I'll just start with the biggest headlines of the week. The MadeByGoogle 2022 event was yesterday and it began with some call-outs to Apple, to quote Brian Rakowski: "We take it as a compliment when others in the industry follow our lead". This is of course referencing the iPhone adding car crash detection after Google Pixels having the feature since the Pixel 2 in 2017... ouch. Google released the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro with some compelling upgrades to the 6 and retaining the same agressive price for the non-pro model at just $599.So, this is what's new with the camera: Cinematic Blur (identical to what Apple just revealed on the iPhone 14), Macro Focus (I believe from the S21), as well as full 10 Bit video. Other features were significantly improved: Face unblur, night sight speed, digital zoom ai, also 5x telephoto on pro instead of 4. We also got a Pixel Watch from Google which is the first ever watch released by Google and it looks awesome. It integrates with the Fitbit App and comes with 6 months of Fitbit premium. The price isn't quite as competitive for this watch and it is pretty similar to other watches on the market with the base model at $349 and the cellular model at $399. Finally, we learned a bit more about the Pixel tablet with the confirmation that it will dock to a speaker to become a smart speaker with a screen just like the Lenovo M10. Other than that, we got some other small stuff that you'll see if you click somewhere here.

- Okay, now a smaller but interesting headline. After Apple comfirmed that RCS would never be coming the iPhone, Google worked on internal improvement to SMS despite their movement to replace it. Pixels will soon be able to respond to iPhones with reactions but use the tapback system from Apple to type out the reaction into an SMS on the iPhone users side. Google knows that this feature will result in complaints to Apple just like when Android didn't translate reactions.

- Finally, the Nvidia RTX 4090 released which is now the fastest GPU on the market making overall minor improvemnts from the 3090ti. The proccessor is priced at $1599 and requires a staggering 850w power supply just for the GPU. It is an exciting development but definelty will remain in just rich buisnesses and film studios for the time being.
And that is it! Thanks for reading!
